Howloween Blog Hop...muahahahahah

Technically this is a hop…technically…

But…it's Howloween…so shouldn't this be more like a creep? Oh…or a slow and staggered limp (think zombies…hehe)! Maybe…just maybe a crawl from under your bed? What about a lunge from the darkest recesses of the room?

*cue scary music*
"Barbra…they're coming to get you Barbra…"
OMG…to this day that line still gives me the chills!

Basically what I'm saying is I love Halloween. I love the scares…the screams…the goosebumps…it all makes my blood rush through my veins and my heart beat double time. It's an aphrodisiac in a way for me *blushes*…so I am thrilled to be a part of the Howloween bog hop.

But you know what—there are a lot of blogs to visit and I'm a talker at the best and worst of times…so I'll wrap this up kinda quick for you. *winks*
Let us start with prizes…I'm giving away two e-books to two commenters. *big smiles* You can choose from my backlist of books located on my Story Orgy page and my Synchronous Seductions page…or you can choose the new anthology I'm in called Freaky Flashes…13 quickies that hit the right spot. :)

Now…to get your name in the drawing all you have to do is leave a comment, preferably a favorite line from a scary movie you love. But just a hello will do also *winks*.

Don't forget to put your email addy in with your comment…I want to find you—and I've already been warned about my stalker tendencies…hehe…there is only one person I've got a signed affidavit from that I'm allowed to stalk *blushes*…so come on…get freaky with me…um…please? *big Cheshire cat grin*

Check out their wowza review here...

And when Jenny and Missy asked me to be their first interview...asked me to pop their cherry so to speak *nods knowingly*...
...well...
Anyone who knows me knows I'm all over that proposal—with the quickness...lol

So if you'd like to know about lollipops and orgies...click on over here and sit for a spell *winks*

Okay—I'm back to the grind at my EDJ...hope you all have a great Thursday!

And just cuz...here's a little snippet from Geoff's Teddy that I've never posted before...*smiles big*...just for you :)

Geoff's Teddy

Fuzzy is an unsatisfied ladies' man. Geoff's a bear-loving man who satisfies. Problem? Convincing a straight man that satisfaction might be just around the bend.

Snippet:
"Who's that?" Geoff whispered to Fuzzy. His lover's pale complexion definitely didn't bode well for this situation.
"My parents."
"Your parents!" Geoff's whisper sounded more like a growl to Fuzzy, who covered his mouth and shushed him.
"Teddy, did you say something?" His mother's voice increasingly sounded closer. "Honey, don't get up. We'll be right in after we set these groceries down."
"No, Mom, don't come in here. I'll be right out!"
His dad's chuckle floated down the hall to them . "He must have one of his girls in there fixing him up."
Fuzzy looked at Geoff's panicked and annoyed face and grinned as he whispered to him, "Hey, they had a fifty/fifty shot and just played the odds." Louder, he answered his father's comment. "You do realize I can hear you? And no, not a girl."

You can find Geoff's Teddy @ Breathless Press, Amazon & All Romance ebooks (ARe)

The Next Big Thing...hey! Eyes Up...hehe

Well lo and behold...my baby girl...my sweet cheeks...my lovey lady Allison Cassatta has done gone and called my assets out. It's all okay though...cuz that hottie can do anything she wants to my assets *winks and nods knowingly*

So—what is this Next Big Thing you ask? Well...someone answered the questions below *points below* and then threw four of their friends under the bus...to which those four answered the questions *still pointing* and repeated the whole tossage of friends thing...and so on and so forth...*breaths deeply*...and now Allison was put in that bus pile and has proceeded to drag me in with her (I think it's because she likes to cuddle with me...I'm quite cuddable you know...hehe)

So here I am with these 10 questions I have to answer about my current WIP...and then I get to bring four of my friends along for the crazy ride...woo hoo!!!!

I'm answering these questions in reference to my story being edited right now...because technically that is a work in progress still...*big smiles*

*cue spooky music* hey...it is Halloween time...muahahahahah
The Questions

What is the working title of your book?
Wish Me Nothing

Where did the idea come from for the book?
I was talking to my muse...we're members of the Story Orgy and our group wanted to do something paranormally for October last year...I always wanted to explore the old school Djins—the type that aren't all sweet and happy and doing for people because they can...Wish Me Nothing is the first in what will be a series of Djin books...it is actually just a short novella—but it gets your feet wet with the way the series will happen...and these Djin may not be openly evil...but they aren't ones you'd dream about either...hehe

What genre does your book fall under?
we've got paranormal happening here...but it may dabble into fantasy slightly...those two genres are close cousins in my opinion anyway...lol

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?

Oh yeah...there is my Shan...hehe
Oh boy... I couldn't say Ar and Vaughn off the top of my head...but Shan, well I think I could so see Dwayne Johnson as Shan—Shan is a smart asset Djin with great comedic timing...in all honesty he seems like the wiry type because of his light, humorous personality...but his human form looks a lot like his brother Ar, big and muscular. Dwayne Johnson really has the smile that Shan would give you when he called you his little chocolate truffle while feeding you to the beast...*shakes head giggling*...oh and he would rock the dreads/braids when he Djin'd out...totally hehe

What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
Whatever you do, don't say "I wish".

WIll your book be self published or represented by an agency?
Breathless Press is publishing it

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Can't say for sure—I wrote it as a blog story for the Story Orgy...my best guess would be about 8 weeks...but that soooooo isn't counting rewrites and edits...lmao

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I'd shy away from comparing my book to any other book for some very simple reasons...I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to up my ego with the pecking game, I'm not better than anyone else or worse, I'm me...and there are so many different stories out there, plenty for all the diverse readers, that it seems unfair to limit any of them with a comparison...lol

Who or What inspired you to write this book?
I've always liked paranormal...and I love the idea of making a world that I'm the grand poobah of...feel my power minions...*throws head back and cackles* um...that is until Shan starts jabber jawing in my head reminding me who actually calls the shots *heads desk giggling*

What else about your book might interest the reader?
Not only is this the first book in the Djin series...this is also the first book in a collection I'm doing that adds other series in it...a paranormal world to visit and enjoy—where the heroes are not always good but they always do satisfy...*winks*

Well…was it good for you too? You know…rooting around in my mind like that? Hey! I've gots a smexy mind…the voices say so all the time…*giggles*

Now for the fun part…time to bring my friends to the party! Next week we'll get to visit their pages and see what they are up to! Because that is the next big thing! hehe…So let's see…*picks up megaphone and smiles all big Cheshire cat like*

YOO HOO
LEE BRAZIL
(my amazing muse…*holds closely*)
RAVEN MCALLAN
(Raven and Havan…hehe…we've been in a tree together *winks*)
S.A. Reid
(simply beautiful…*sighs*)
DIANNE HARTSOCK
(she allows me to stalk Shelton…*swoons*)

Hump Day Flashing #2...Lyle's Light

Well Happy Hump Day!

For your entertainment…I'm gonna go toe to toe with my wonderfully creative muse, Lee Brazil. *big smiles* Seriously though, we wanna be mavericks…which basically means that we wanna flash you on our terms…

So…this week I got to pick the picture…I was aiming for haunting like…in a beautiful way…but when I sat down to write my flash something else came out entirely…

So I hope you like…*bites nails nervously*…

Now don't forget to swing on by Lee's blog too and see his take on this wondrous picture…it's amazing how two completely different flashes can be inspired by the same image…love that!

And for your reading pleasure…

"Are you telling me you don't see that?" Lyle spread his arms out to the sky to encompass the mass of green lights and fog.
His friend, not even his best friend because he didn't have one, patted his back. "Sure Lyle, I see it. It's amazing and…" His voice was devoid of the awe that the sight should have induced in him…"Neat."
"Oh forget you." Lyke pushed his hand away and walked into the woods. A sane person would have steered clear of the weirdness, called someone. But Lyle wasn't much for sanity. No one ever cared what he had to say anyway.
He kept on his path to the green lights.
He was tired of being second best to everyone, if he even rated that high. Maybe these lights, this mist…yeah just maybe.
He just didn't want to be unwanted anymore. These lights, they offered him something.
Farther still, it felt like a never ending journey he embarked on. He felt hands on his shoulders, but a quick turn of the head told him no one touched him. He thought he heard crying…yelling…but no sound floated to his ears.
He couldn't remember when he actually stepped into the green light, but it circled him and the fog tickled his senses. He was safe here…they liked him here…
Gretchen shook her brother's shoulders. "Please, Lyle! Please wake up!" She turned the shower on high cold water.
Her boyfriend stood behind her with the pill bottle. "He swallowed them all."

Hump Day Flashing...How to Melt Butter...

Well Happy Hump Day!

And for your reading pleasure…I'm gonna go toe to toe with my wonderfully creative muse, Lee Brazil. *big smiles* Seriously though, we wanna be mavericks…which basically means that we wanna flash you on our terms…

So…this week Lee picked out a picture and posted it for me and threw down the gauntlet (which is a lot nicer than slapping me in the face with it…hehe) and I looked at that picture and thought…um…okay? *eye roll* Seriously scrolled down and peek…but don't forget to scroll back up and finish reading my intro—I work hard on these things…*giggles*

But I rose to the occasion (which is impressive since it usually isn't the woman's job, let me tell you) and unknotted my trench coat and I flashed with all my pizzazz!

Now don't forget to swing on by Lee's blog too and see his take on this interesting picture he chose for us…it's amazing how two completely different flashes can be inspired by the same image…love that!

And this is the fruit of my labor…

How to Melt Butter

Sammy looked at the plate dropped in front of him. "Honey, I thought you wanted to talk about us."
"This is about us, you comprehend better with visual aids."
He looked back down at the single piece of toast with a pat of butter, then at Bryan. "Um…I don't get it."
Bryan melodramatically threw his hands up in the air. "That's the problem. Lately I haven't been getting it."
Sammy straightened in the kitchen chair. "I beg your pardon, this morning? And twice yesterday, well okay one and a half times…but we both were tired yesterday."
Bryan pointed at the plate. "That's us, Sammy. You see how the butter isn't even melting on the toast. The toast is cold and the butter isn't heating up any." He paced around the table. "Sure we have tons of sex, but lately it's been by the numbers without any heat to it. Damn it Sammy, heat me up!"
Sammy slowly stood, staring at his lover's big blue eyes begging for something he hadn't been getting lately. Sammy didn't mean to let their lovemaking fall to the side. He tried not to bring his work issues home, but evidently failed.
He picked up the plate, held it up at eye level toward Bryan, walked calmly to the microwave, tossed it in and jabbed the start button.
Stalking over to Bryan he smirked. In one quick movement he bent his knees, picked Bryan up over his shoulder and marched toward the bedroom.
"Prepare to melt."

Pssst...if you are in the mood to comment I'd appreciate it *winks*...
